Wednesday 2/26/20 - Pink Shirt Day

This morning, Ms. Swinton and I attended a PD session about diversity in the classroom and Mr. Risdon led the lessons, supported by our substitute teachers. Students worked on division with remainders in Math and worked on describing "les animaux" in French. For LA, they worked on descriptive writing using their 5 senses.



This afternoon, students had time for unfinished work. For Pink Shirt Day, students wrote "I Am" poems, taking the perspective of either the bully, the bullied, or the bystander. Their work was very powerful! We also spent time designing Pink Shirts.
