We are very happy to welcome back Mr. Risdon for the next 8 weeks!

This morning in Math, students had time to work on Prodigy to polish their 2digit by 2digit multiplication skills. In French, they started learning "les mots sur les animaux de la ferme" (farm animal words). We also talked about Pink Shirt Day (coming up on Wednesday, February 26). Students brainstormed ways we can show kindness through a class discussion and in a written response. We also have two classmates decorating a puzzle piece about how we show kindness, based on our shared ideas. We will be having an assembly on Friday, February 21 to talk more about anti-bullying and kindness. This afternoon, students had time to work on unfinished work. The composer from Calgary Opera was here today, presenting to each grade group. In Social, students had their final class period to work on their fur trade diary entries.

Reminder: We are skiing/snowboarding tomorrow! Students are encouraged to dress in layers, as it is supposed to get quite warm by the afternoon tomorrow. Winsport's policy is that they are allowed to take their jackets off on the hill only if they have a long-sleeved shirt
