This morning, we started with Circle and Compliment circle. We viewed some of the Interior Plains News Casts. For French, we finished presenting the fashion shows. In Art, students had more time to work on their Mug art. We finished reading Chapter 14 of The Boundless and students worked on their storyboard. We ended the day with a Literacy-based activity writing kind notes to our buddy class. Overdue Work: - Mot Mystere - January quote - Decade Writing - 4 Saisons Vetements VJ page Next week is Teacher's Convention on Thursday and Friday, so there will be no school for students on February 13 and 14 . There is also no school on Monday, February 17 . The Grade 3's will be coming around on Monday selling the remaining Koalas for a Kause ($3.50 each) if you are interested in supporting this wonderful cause!

Wednesday 12/18/19 - 1 day to go!

This morning, we started with DEAR and carolling in the gym. We worked on Sudoku in Math. Students had time to work on their storyboards and we started Chapter 7 of The Boundless. This afternoon, students had a bit of time to work on unfinished work and then time to work on their Arctic region posters. We ended the day with festive mad libs! Tomorrow we will have our Positive Choices Reward #5 - movie/snacks/pj/stuffies in the afternoon. Science Fair Tri-Folds have arrived! Please make arrangements to get these home as they are rather large to carry and not allowed on the bus. Due Dates: - Cordillera brochure due tomorrow Important Dates: - Report Cards come home with students tomorrow (Thursday, December, 19) - No School for students on Friday, December 20 - Winter Break is Friday, December 20-Friday, January 3 - No School for students on Monday, January 6 - Classes resume Tuesday, January 7 - Ski/Snowboard forms due Thursday, January 30

Happy Long Weekend!

Hello 5MW Families, I hope you've had a good first week of remote learning in our Google Classroom. I would like to thank you all for your hard work, patience and support! Just a reminder: - Tomorrow is a Stat Holiday, so there is no new work being posted or expectation for students to be working. However, the week's work is still up and available for those who choose to work on it tomorrow. - Monday is a Professional Learning Day for the teachers. We will be attending online/virtual PD to enrich our understanding of this new learning environment. - Tuesday will be the first day of the school week for students. New templates will be sent out and posted in the Classroom, along with the week's assignments. I wish you all a safe and happy long weekend!
