Monday 1/27/20

This morning in Math, we worked on different strategies to use mental math for multiplication. We talked about breaking up the factors (13 x 5 = 10x5 + 3x5), halving and doubling (16 x 25 = 8 x 50), and compatible numbers with compensation (19 x 6 = 20x6 - 1x6). We will continue working with these strategies and practice questions tomorrow. In French, students had time to work on their 4 Seasons Clothing (Les Vetements pour 4 Saisons) VJ page. They will have one more class period and then it goes onto the Work on Work list. We finished Chapter 12 of The Boundless and students had time to work on their storyboard. This afternoon, students had time to work on unfinished work and we voted on our reward - computer time. We will find a time soon to book this. We ended the day with more time to work on our mug art.
