If you're looking for ways to keep learning at home before we start our formal assignments on Monday, here are some suggestions for you: Practice your basic facts! (Don't forget that we still have that  great list of multiplication and division fact online games ! Or, if you prefer something that doesn't involve a screen,  this link has some great hands-on ways to practice multiplication facts  too!) Play  Prodigy ! I've put in some 3-digit by 1-digit division questions for you to review. Read!!!! And talk or write about what you're reading!!! Keep a journal ! We are living through a future history lesson right now! :) Try some cooking or baking, which involves reading and following instructions (Language Arts) and measurements (Math). Today we had a lovely Thanksgiving assembly to start our day. We had our first Compliment Circle to build a positive classroom climate. In Math, we worked on rounding through an "I Have, Who Has" game. We will try and beat our time record next week! Our novel left us on a major cliffhanger - something happened to Mr. Terupt! We'll continue reading on Tuesday. For Science, we talked about food chains found in our wetlands. In Social, we worked on the concept of Diversity by looking at some great picture books and creating Venn diagrams in partners. Today we started with Circle and work on work time. In Math, students worked on probability through Rock, Paper, Scissors and coin flipping. We finished Chapter 5 of The Boundless and students had time to work on their storyboards. We ended the day with our Grade 2 Buddies, solving the mystery of Elf on a Shelf and writing riddles about where the elf will go next.
